Gascoine was founded in `98 and they are yet another interesting German band

I’m not sure about how to describe the Gascoine sound accurately. they have the same touch when it comes to catchy melodies as Queens of the Stone Age, but they also have that same rough `n´ rockin´ vibe as Sixty Watt Shaman for instance… especially in the first song which reminds me a little of Raging Slab for some reason… it`s the same kinda catchy groove, but yet they sound very different from each other…
Some times the sound is rough `n` dirty and there`s plenty of energy coming across in the heavy grooves. Like Smoke Blow, but less punkrocky and with a groove like something outta Dozer`s repertoire & Nebula groove.

The missing link… that’s exactly what I was looking for after the first and only EP from SLO-BURN (R.I.P.), the KYUSS successor combo of John Garcia (vocals)! Drug rock, spiced up with pig rock, subtle borrowings from 70’s rock and doom elements. Wow, that rocks! Someone tell me that good stoner music only comes from the USA. No way, Germany is joining the fun too! The whole thing is of course not limited to banal stoner rock. It’s full of indie quotes and punk-edelistic inserts, it just rocks! To briefly return to John Garcia (KYUSS, SLO-BURN, among others), listen to the first song, which sounds like SLO-BURN or a faster KYUSS in terms of feel and voice. Brilliant! Rock-hard songs, power rockers are sure to please. All  tracks, are well done and raise the party level for a good 33 minutes. The best newcomer in years! I’m blown away!
