RED DOGS – Pays to be Pretty
Mickey Ripley (vocals), Paul Guerin (guitar), Chris John (guitar), Mick Young (bass), Jim Simpson (drums). Lead track from the Working Late album (1992), recorded at John Entwistles Hammerhead Studio with The Whos sound guy Bob Pridden engineering. This would turn out to be Red Dogs’ final album, with Mickey Ripley opting to form Gallys Folly, and Paul Guerin going on to join former touring buddies The Quireboys. The Working Late album was the first to feature ex-Magnum drummer Jim Simpson behind the kit. Coincidentally he joined the Red Dogs following a stint with UFO, a band with whom the Red Dogs subsequently hit the road with for a UK tour.
