A CLASSIC ROCK ALBUM-GOLDEN EARRING MOONTAN VINYL. DEBUT ALBUM FROM THE FAMOUS DUTCH BAND.
Moontan is an album by Dutch rock band Golden Earring, released in 1973. It contains their most notable radio hit, “Radar Love”

5.0 out of 5 stars moontan – Earing’s finest career LP,
Golden Earing are one of the greatest rock bands ever and they come from a land where English is a second language. Moontan has got to be the Dutch “Whos Next”; the band has a pedigree as long as the Who and were well matched on their tour dates with the London band.
On Moontan the playing is distinctive, the songs are great and the sound is powerful. This is relentless rock n roll and I’m very happy that I have it in my collection.
If you like this get “Who’s Next”, “Argent In Deep” Frees “Heartbreaker” and Deep Purples “Machine Head” – if you’ve got these albums you’ll know what I mean.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic
Another must for those Earring fans. This is the original MOONTAN album in an unfamiliar cover. It contains the unforgettable Radar Love, moves onto Candy’s Going Bad and Vanilla Queen ,the original side one on vinyl. These three tracks alone are Earring at their best, and have been reproduced on many compilation albums since.Big Tree,Blue Sea and Are You Receiving Me complete the album.Great tracks in their own right, the whole album in its original state is a must.

This Moontan album chosen as the greatest rock album from the Netherlands some years ago by one of the oldest bands in all of rock. Formed back in ’61, if ya can believe that and still performing and I can see the reason why. Moontan is Golden Earrings most successful and famous album and it is a very solid mix of catchy hard rock and very clear progressive rock elements. 70s record executives may not have gotten exactly why their bands were so appealing, but at least they were willing to take chances on artists like this one. If Golden Earring had never recorded another song, the group would forever be held in high esteem for “Radar Love”. The lead-off six-minute road racing’ cut fuels the Moontan LP, which is filled out with a total of six long tracks, including the progressive “Vanilla Queen”, and the hard rocking’ “Candy’s Going Bad”. I miss the golden ’70s! “This is an exceptionally fine rock-n-roll release. The tracks on this release are well written and played with skill and passion. The album is just a great listen. Put this baby in the changer and play at maximum volume. An essential all time rock-n-roll recording?
