simply FANTASTIC. dirty rhythms, angry guitars and excellent lyrics. A MUST!

All-for-fun-and-fun-for-all! Spirit and taste of glitter and glam along with the grit.

– To all glam freaks out there – THIS IS A MUST HAVE ALBUM. Dont you ever heard ‘love at first bite’ feat. Lemmy (motorhead)??!! DAMN!!! Absolutely No Alternative

worth getting for “fox on the run” alone. wonderful rendition of the classic Sweet song.

the best and the restless LP of Girlschool I like it so much Good , very good

This album is what a rock album is made of strong Vocals & Guitars. This album rocks!!!!

Nightmare at Maple Cross was the sixth studio album by British heavy metal band, Girlschool, released on GWR Records in 1986. Under the direction of producer Vic Maile, this album marks the return of the band to the sound of their earlier works and to a four-piece formation. All tracks were composed by the four musicians, except for Mud cover “”Tiger Feet””.
Girlschool found themselves rejoining old-time partners-in-crime Motörhead at brand-spanking-new independent label GWR for the following year follow-up, Nightmare at Maple Cross. Not that there any concrete evidence suggesting Lemmy and Co. had any influence on , renewing their acquaintance with heavier riffs and proto-riot grrrl aggression, in tracks like “”All Day, All Night”” “”Play with Fire”” and “”Turn It Up””. But the presence of producer Vic Maile — responsible for both Girlschool and Motorhead early triumphs — was certainly a contributing factor, ensuring that even the disc more obviously commercial, singalong efforts (“”Never Too Late,”” “”Back for More,”” for instance) came wrapped in a good bit of barbed wire. If there were any truly grave repeat offenses, it was in the fact that, once again, covers had to be used. Their glam-heavy romp through Mud “”Tiger Feet”” wasn’t bad. Taken as a whole, Nightmare at Maple Cross was a promising step back from the cliff edge for the beloved all-girl metal gang
