This included seven new tracks and three newly recorded songs from the “”Grout”” demo. “Quarantine””, the opening track on “”Forward the Foundation”” was also included on the Eclipse Records “”Outer Limits”” compilation CD.

“”Forward the Foundation”” was scheduled for release in early 1998, but by that time Freak Seed would make two more trips to the recording studio. The first was to record a song for the Psykoziz Records’ “”Tentacles of Submission”” compilation. The song, “”Zero Reflection”” was an immediate favorite of the band and fans alike.

Recorded in 1996 and slated for a 1997 release, this was to be Freak Seed’s first full-length on Slow Death Records. Delays and their eventual changeover to Sun Serpent Records led to this only seeing a limited release on promotional cassette in 1996 and CDr in 1998. Most of the songs from this album would be remixed and released on Freak Seed – Ignition. The original 1996 mix and tracklist was finally released in 2013 as part of the Sun Serpent Reissue Series.
