COLOURFAST has an aggressive heavy metal sound and melodious guitar play. It started SAN JOS, CA late in the 90s, and continued in Japan now. THE ART OF ONE is good enough sound to break your neck!!!
80%. This album has really grown on me over the years.
The guitars are the main focus on this record, which is usually a good thing. Every once in a while Akira will bust out a melodic palm-muted riff that is pretty good, and he also has some nice clean/softer parts. Most of the rhythm guitar work is your typical thrashy mid-paced riffage. The lead guitar work is generally very good, and all of the solos are great. The melodic solo for “Time Keeps Passing By” particularly shines through, and is the best minute of music on the album. Akira has a vocal delivery that switches between hardcore yells and hardcorish singing. It definitely takes some getting used to.
