The 11 piece UK Soul and Funk band Bambus, bring you original material and influences of Jazz, Soul, Funk, Rare Groove and Latin and Break Beats.

UK Funk Group Bambus City Strut is a 10 piece band complete with a brass section, background singers, a percussionist and drums, bass and guitar. The beautiful thing about them is that they blend the different personalities to form a complete band. In the day and age of digital music made in computers by one person its a blast to the past when you listen to this dynamic group.

The main players of the band are Sasha Patterson (Lead Singer and Keys), Tom Houghton (Drums), Sujay Jayaram (Bass), Simon Platts and Paul Brickles (Horns), Rick Butterfield (Guitar), Papa Chango (percussion) and back up singers Amanda Cooper and Vocal Instinct.

I got excited as soon as I listened to the 1st track.
This Live Studio EP is an introduction to the group, displaying your talents in a live format is pretty unusual in todays music landscape.

The music has a sound that is clean and soulful, the songs are well written and from song 1 to song 5 it does not disappoint. The recording is right and it really makes you wish you were there to hear it live and to watch them play.
