their riffalicious Klassiks “Heartless World” and “Touch the Wind” sit atop of our top five 1979 favourite songs! Yes, they are THAT GOOD. Don’t deny yourselves these Rock Hard Offerings. Essential stuff. Produced by Myles Goodwyn of April Wine. Windsor , Ontario’s own. Superb rare original UK LP, Teaze, One Night Stands. Released in the UK on the Heavy Metal America record label, catalogue number HMUSA30.

This 1979 album sees Teaze at their most creative, taking on a multitude of genres and styles to put together an album that perfectly showcases the band. The album is brilliantly produced, giving the band the best platform to shine. The tracks here are well structured and wonderfully performed, the extra touches making the sound even bigger. This was not their first album, but it is certainly the best one to introduce yourself to Teaze.

For fans of: KISS, Blue Öyster Cult, Van Halen

“One Night Stands” was the third album released by Teaze on the Heavy Metal America Records label. With the success of the live album, “Tour Of Japan”, the Montreal based band Teaze became one of the hottest Canadian bands of the late 70’s. For this US debut album all the stops were pulled out by the band’s management. Myles Goodwyn, from April Wine, was brought in for production and eight new songs were written by the band members for the album. The songs were powerful hard rock numbers with intelligent lyrics and good choruses. The album had all right songs to make it a hit but despite that, the timing was just not right. Disco was dominating the charts, new wave and punk rock music was becoming the current rage.

=============================================

the Canadian Hard Rock band’s 1979 album. Mad, bad and dangerous to know, the boys in Teaze packed their punches, coming out swinging as though their life depended on every riff. Compared, by those who know about such things, to leading lights of the era, including Kiss, Aerosmith, Angel and Cheap Trick, the band made an immediate impact in, of all places, Japan where their explosive riffs, poptastic hooks, colorful glad rags and no holds barred on-stage energy immediately elevated them to stardom. For many, One Night Stands is the highlight of Teaze’s career; a savage take no prisoners collection of tough-guy Hard Rock produced to maximum effect by April Wine main-man Myles Goodwin and loaded with prime time guitar anthems such as ‘Back In Action’, ‘Red Hot Ready’ and the classic ‘Boys Night Out’. It is regarded as one of the most impressive Hard Rock records of the era.

5.0 out of 5 stars BACK IN ACTION,
Definitely one of the best recordings of all time! If I had to pick a lull in this disc it would be Loose Change, simply because I can’t remember it. All the other cuts are keepers. This disc could have practically been a greatest hits volume as far as I’m concerned. My all-time favorite Teaze song is “”Touch the Wind””. This song is an epic; it ROCKS! Great AOR songs were “”Back In Action””, “”Young & Reckless””, “”Reach Out”” and “”Red Hot & Ready””. There are 2 songs that should have been major hits and they are “”Heartless World”” and “”Through the Years””.
Without the disc in front of me I can’t tell you the names of the bands members, so, I’ll edit that in after I’m home, but this album was produced by Myles Goodwyn of April Wine fame. Trust me he outdid himself here with as good a production job as Roy Thomas Baker or Alan Parsons ever did. This disc is a complete package. Great songs with sometimes a young party message, but there are enough great songs here that go beyond that to see the talent. I only wish Capitol would have done something to help push this band. If you want to know what you missed in life that would have made a year out of your life more enjoyable try One Night Stands. The vocals, guitar work and rhythm are better than good. One of my Top 100 of all-time! Someday, if I ever get rich, I will buy this from anyone who got it because of my review and didn’t like it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Long Forgotten GREAT Group,
If ya like early April Wine check out this band. Myles Goodwyn From April Wine even produced it!

Teaze ‘One Night Stands’ – “”During The 1970’s and 1980’s the Canadian rock scene was bursting with home grown hard rock talent. BTO, Rush, Triumph, and April Wine may have led the charge but there were a dozens of lesser known acts clambering for attention. The scene, dubbed Maple Leaf Mayhem incorporated magnificent masters of their craft such as Max Webster, Mahogany Rush, Moxy, Trooper and Teaze. Mad, bad and dangerous to know, the boys in Teaze packed their punches, coming out swinging as though their life depended on every riff. Compared, by those who know about such things, to leading lights of the era, including Kiss, Aerosmith, Angel and Cheap Trick, the band made an immediate impact in, of all places, Japan where their explosive riffs, poptastic hooks, colourful glad rags and no holds barred on-stage energy immediately elevated them to stardom. Buoyed by this success, the band continued to consolidate their Canadian presence before scoring a much coveted Stateside deal with Capitol Records. For many, ‘One Night Stands’ is the highlight of Teaze’s career; a savage take no prisoners collection of tough-guy hard rock produced to maximum effect by April Wine main-man Myles Goodwin and loaded with prime time guitar anthems such as ‘Back In Action’, ‘Red Hot Ready’ and the classic ‘Boys Night Out’. It is regarded as one of the most impressive hard rock records of the era.”
