This band rule in the most primitive of evil feedback drenched ear-abusing ways…..Stooged up feedback that’d scare the underwear off most of the shitehawk rock ‘n roll bandwagon scene manufacturing garage rock n roll wannabes that infest the goddamn NME right now. The kind of tantrum fuelled outbursts that have you throwing out your speakers in the mistaken belief that they’ve died… more feedback and fuzz than that first Jesus And Mary Chain single, more feedback than a pissed off Neil Young soundcheck invaded by St Vitus, the MC5 and the disowned bastard offspring of the unwashed Stooges buttfugging GG Allin were talking serious feedback noise. Sludgefeast and their primitive fractured ram-raids are more righteousness than a whole bag of Aerobitch albums (that’s a serious compliment), whilst their stomping of a Tom Petty song (Anything That’s Rock & Roll) leaves you in no way prepared for their total violation of Abbas SOS a version laced with even more broken bottle jagged edge feedback violence. Gloriously primitive fractured feedback garaged up ear violating rock ‘n roll violence.. yeah

Judging by the noise that Bournemouth’s Sludgefeast create, living by the seaside does strange things to a person. They give us what can only be described as the lowest of lo-fi garage punk metal rock which sounds like it was recorded in someones bathroom with all equipment turned up to 11 and a paper bag placed over the microphone for good measure.

The sludge in their name is a tad misleading, if however, you fancy the idea of some trashy Stooges & Black Sabbath-influenced garage rock with much distortion then this is your baby!

First up is the rocker ‘Born Evil’ , followed by the short & sweet  ‘All Night Long’. Next up an inspired version of the Tom Petty-penned  ‘Anything That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll’ with the bar room boogie suiting the distorted garage style. Not even Abba can escape the evil clutches of The Feast as their s.O.S gets an almighty mauling, just a selection of the 55 tracks apparently at their disposal; all of which were recorded in 5 hours.

So, a band you are either going to love or hate. As for the cover artwork … you just wouldn’t expect the evil trashy rock ‘n’ roll that comes spewing from the speakers to be contained in such a thing!
