The reason she does so many things so well is because she’s a  classically trained singer who’s original ambition was to sing opera. When you have that kind of training, you can sing anything, and you know how to protect your voice and keep it strong.

Guitarist Neil Giraldo began lending his guitar talents to recordings, including Rick Springfield (Working Class Dog) and Kenny Loggins  (High Adventure), in addition to producing the solo début by John Waite, Ignition.

“All Fired Up” is a song written by Kerryn Tolhurst and first performed and released by Australian country rock group Rattling Sabres in 1987. It charted nationally, peaking at number 94 on the Australian Music Report. The following year, American singer-songwriter Pat Benatar recorded a version that became a chart hit in several countries, including Australia, where it reached number two on the ARIA Singles Chart.

In 1988, Pat Benatar included a cover version on her seventh studio album, Wide Awake in Dreamland, and released it as the album’s lead single in 1988. It reached number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100—becoming Benatar’s last US top 40 single as of 2024—and peaked at the same position on both the UK Singles Chart and the Canadian RPM 100 Singles chart. It also reached number 12 in South Africa and number two in Australia. The song is the title track on All Fired Up: The Very Best of Pat Benatar, a two-CD compilation released in 1994. In 1989, the song was nominated for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female at the 31st Annual Grammy Awards.

Pat Benatar All Fired Up Lyrics:
Songwriters: SHANIA TWAIN, PAUL SABU

Livin’ with my eyes closed, goin’ day to day
I never knew the difference, I never cared either way
Lookin’ for a reason, searchin’ for a sign
Reachin’ out with both hands, I gotta feel the kick inside

All Fired Up
Now I believe there comes a time
All Fired Up
When everything just falls in line
All Fired Up
We live an’ learn from our mistakes
All Fired Up, Fired Up, Fired Up – Hey

Ain’t nobody livin’, in a perfect world
Everybodys out there, cryin’ to be heard
Now I got a new fire, burnin’ in my eyes
Lightin’ up the darkness, movin’ like a meteorite

CHORUS:
All Fired Up
Now I believe there comes a time
All Fired Up
When everything just falls in line
All Fired Up
We live an’ learn from our mistakes
All Fired Up, Fired Up, Fired Up
The deepest cuts are healed by faith
Now I believe there comes a time
When everything just falls in line
We live an’ learn from our mistakes
The deepest cuts are healed by faith

Now I believe there comes a time
When everything just falls in line
We live an’ learn from our mistakes
The deepest cuts are healed by faith
Now I believe there comes a time
When everything just falls in line
We live an’ learn from our mistakes
The deepest cuts are healed by faith
Now I believe there comes a time
When everything just falls in line
We live an’ learn from our mistakes
The deepest cuts are healed by faith
Now I believe
