The outrageous debut album by LONDON’S QUEENS OF SLEAZE. On ‘Ovulater’, they mix the bouncy, thrashy sounds of proto-new wave punk- the Buzzcocks, Gen X, that whole trip – with the swagger and smeared lipstick of the New York Dolls. The end product sounds not unlike Elastica with dirty mouths and a Shirelles fetish, the pop gloss nicely cut with razor rock guitars and the girl group harmonies spit out like sour spunk on the fighting songs and cooed, with a smirk, on the almost-love songs.
