Exiled On Earth play pure heavy metal with some elements from thrash metal and a very heavy sound in the guitars. The songs are really fast and they have classic metal feeling with some modern sound. The artwork is enough good and the production too. So all the fans of heavy/thrash metal should check this band.

Great job that of the Exiled on Earth, who landed in this second demo after seven years of activity. Born as a swedish band at In Flames, but with a clean voice, Exiled on Earth manage to detach themselves almost completely from the genre in this self-production, and I add “fortunately”, since of releases in the wake of Dark Tranquility and beautiful company there there are already too many around. In “Duality Conflicts” the band skilfully combines rhythmic techniques that could refer to the US ’80 power of Liege Lord or Helstar (while treading much less on the accelerator), to jazz / fusion solutions, without ever losing sight of the modern terrains of the extreme metal more experimental. In short, it’s a damn personal mix, enriched by the good voice of Tiziano Marcozzi and by a truly up-to-date production, branded Temple of Noise. An extra point to the band is given by the categorical and uncompromising exclusion of any electronic device such as triggers, effects, keyboards or retouching and editing done on the computer, which gives an unusual genuineness to the product. In a metal scene unfortunately dominated by sampled batteries, by exaggerated triggers and correct voices with the Pitch Shifter, hearing a quality product authentically played was considered by the undersigned now sadly impossible. So it doesn’t matter if, here and there, Tiziano’s voice is not perfect to the millimeter as intonation, what matters is the intention, the feeling, the emotion that flows from really excellent songs such as “Turmoil” or the sustained ” on the same levels also the other members of the band, who undoubtedly boast a fairly good technical level and, at the guitar level, a great good touch. In short, this “Duality Conflicts” looks like a great surprise, and although songwriting can be improved in some aspects (some inserts are partly dispersive), we find ourselves in front of a band able to say something more than the myriads of groups that crowd the Italian underground scene. on the same levels also the other members of the band, who undoubtedly boast a fairly good technical level and, at the guitar level, a great good touch. In short, this “Duality Conflicts” looks like an excellent surprise, and although songwriting can be improved in some aspects (some inserts are partly dispersive), we find ourselves in front of a band able to say something more than the myriads of groups that crowd the Italian underground scene.
