Temples of Ice is the seventh studio album by English heavy metal band Venom. It was released on Under One Flag records in 1991, and marketed and distributed by Music For Nations. The album features a cover version of a Deep Purple song from 1970, “Speed King”.
5.0 out of 5 stars 2nd ONE FROM THE TONY DOLAN ERA !!!,
And more exciting than its predecessor, Prime Evil. Like that one, it not as thrashy as the albums from the Cronos era, it takes more of a technical, rockier-oriented, slower thrash metal path. There is also a rhythm guitarist called Al Barnes, who is competent enough to play the occasional double lead/counterpoint solo with Mantas, who by that point had acquired an amazing playing technique, and a keyboardist who introduced some weird but interesting samples here and there. This record is out of print and very unlikely to be re-released !!!!!
