Punk Rock band from Dalkeith and Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally formed in 1979 as the Reflectors, the band soon renamed themselves Threats.

The success of the EP resulted in the band playing with UK Subs, Dead Kennedys, Anti-Nowhere League and Chelsea. By this time Threats were firmly part of the UK Punk establishment and were touring in their own right.
Here you can check The Threats live @ Nitemoves Glasgow 1981 supporting the U.K.Subs.

The Threats are a punk band from Dalkeith and Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally formed in 1979 as the Reflectors, the band soon renamed themselves The Threats. The Threats formed in 1977 as the Reflectors. By the early 1980s, many punk rock acts had begun to explore political issues. The Threats followed this trend, writing songs that addressed contemporary social issues. Their song Iron Maiden was directed at Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Afghanistan, which featured on the B-side of the Go to Hell single, was a response to the Soviet war in Afghanistan.
Gogsy Threat the guitarist has said that the band had never intended to be a political voice but, in late 70s/early 80s Britain, it was very, very difficult not to be outspoken on the issues of the day. Particularly, those factors that directly affected family and friends.
The name of the band is actually “Threats” although often referred to with the “The ” preceding the name.
The Casualties covered the Threats track “Underground Army” on one of their 1998 album of the same name.
