“SPINESCRAPE is a band out of Little Rock, Arkansas. Formerly known as INHUMANE, SPINESCRAPE has been on the scene for less than 8 months, but the members of the band have been on the scene for more than 7 years. They have played with acts such as FEAR FACTORY, LIFE OF AGONY, and LIVING SACRIFICE. On Friday, October the 8th, SPINESCRAPE went into Blue Chair Recording Studios to start recording their first album entitled “SCARRED FOR LIFE” The band laid down the drum, guitar, and bass tracks for 6 out of the planned 9 songs on the cd. The shit sounded GOOD! Trust me, I was there! Then on Sunday, October the 10th, the band went in and laid down the vocal and lead guitar tracks. The album is scheduled for release this January. The guys have recently recruited John Unkle III, from Eastcostgraphics to do their cover. They currently have a 3 song cd that has been receiving much airplay on radio stations throughout the U.S. and over seas. SPINESCRAPES sound has been compared to a mix between DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH, and MACHINE HEAD. They offer a very aggressive and entertaining live show. To say the least, SPINESCRAPE is gonna be around a long time offering each of their fans something they can relate to on both a musical and personal level”.

Metalheads – even more than any other kinds of music fans – find it especially important to let friends and strangers know what they’re into. Band apparel can serve as a password of sorts at concerts (e.g. “Is this guy alright? …Yep, he’s wearing an uber-cool Spinescrape shirt.”), and some items are cool enough to inspire passersby to check out the band without any further recommendation. It’s no wonder that band merchandise has been a huge part of the music industry since rock and roll, Hard Rock & Heavy Metal began.
