Knights of the New Thunder is the second studio album by the Norwegian rock band TNT. It was the first TNT album recorded with their new vocalist Tony Harnell, who had replaced their original singer. It was their last album playing traditional heavy metal, as their later releases have a more commercial/glam metal style.

Most of the songs on the album had been written and recorded as demos, but most of the lyrics were rewritten by Harnell. Some of the song titles were also changed.
The album’s original cover art featured an illustration of half-naked women and caused controversy in Norway. A new cover was made and used for the national and international editions, except for Japan where the album was released with its original cover.

5 stars
Knights Of The New Thunder is one hell of good album. Guitar fans, take notice Ronnie Lee Tikro does an excellent job on guitars. This albums has a very distinctive European feel without sounding cheesy or week. These songs have passion and power all wrapped into one. This is a great album. If you have heard only a few songs from TNT but never an entire album, buy this one first! Favorite song; ALL!!!!!

Awesome LP
Knights Of The New Thunder is an awesome classic. There is not much to say other than this LP rocks from beginning to end. Ear piercing vocals and shredding guitars will leave you in awe.

Knights Of The New Thunder songs Just as good as I remembered. This disc rules.

Knights Of The New Thunder is a classic track that stands the test of time. Pure power all the way. Vocal shredded the competition then and today!

better than five stars
this LP ranks up there with only a handful of artists in the rock era. For some reason the band never received very much promotion at the time. they have a rare ingredient that sets them apart from the majority of other bands-a must have.

TNT fikk et slags gjennombrudd med platen Knights Of The New Thunder i 1984.

TNT had a sort of breakthrough with the album Knights Of The New Thunder in 1984. Not least because the band brought in vocalist Tony Harnell, and started writing songs with English lyrics. Seven Seas was a big hit in the metal scene here at home, and Knights Of The New Thunder was the start of great things for TNT.
Times change, but Seven Seas remains a classic.
