5.0 out of 5 stars Great Source of Inspiration for Band
Ok this book is dated, but it contains timeless (and as far as I can see – priceless)advice for generating publicity and exposure for any band or musical artist.

Much of the guidance for getting your act noticed applies equally as well for musicians who want to make a career on stage as it does to those just looking for regular weekend work. The techniques can be used for generating concert ticket sales (or swelling audience numbers), CD/MP3 sales, radio and TV airplay or just plain old getting gigs.
The focus here is simple : Bringing your act to the publics attention. Isn’t that what its all about?

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for the Music Entrepreneur
This was one of the first books I read that helped our independent record label and our artists, and eventually our Hip Hop Entrepreneur success tools get featured on BET, Video Music Box, in Rappages, Billboard, Source and many other outlets. Its clear, easy to follow and one of the books I recommend.

Does an excellent job of emphasizing the importance of publicity in the music business. He effectively reveals every trick of the trade for preparing professional press kits, press releases, pitch letters, and more!
