Zeroscape – …And if this is the End I Will
Zeroscape describes themselves as a band with a blend of metal, hardcore, reggae and soul to produce a truly unique sound. The combination of these styles must be some sign for an interesting debut album.
The album starts pretty weird actually, with the unedifying Outnumbered but as soon as the second song kicks in, it is clear that Rob seems to be able to sing tight, clean, heavy and grunting in which the guitar plays a very important leading role. They guide the singer with fast chords or tell him when to shut up if some weird sounds (think RATM) are being produced. So, we can already speak of balance.

Things really start to get interesting when the fifth, killer song Uncle Bush Wants You where the combination of violence and tenderness creates an awesome sphere. The different music parts seem to fit together all of a sudden and Rob again shows he is able to use his voice in many perfect ways. The emotions of this song seem to be pure as hell and the lyrics can only emphasise that.
The ballad Anything at All and the title track are signs of the capacity of great songwriting by Zeroscape.
Its for sure that we haven’t heard the last of Zeroscape. Im really looking forward to see them live, maybe they can bring something extra compared to the record which is full of different extremities. And if they prove they’re able to do so, we could have our new Bad Brains all of a sudden. Sounds nice doesn’t it?

Zeroscape describes themselves as a band with a blend of metal, hardcore, reggae and soul to produce a truly unique sound. And although this way of describing yourself is something I dislike, the combination of these styles must be some sign for an interesting debut album. The biography also says that singer Rob McLeod is able to use his voice in a way that it will fit with all the different styles Zeroscape is playing. Well, show us then!

The album starts pretty weird actually, with the unedifying Outnumbered but as soon as the second song kicks in, it is clear that at least the story about the vocals is true. Rob seems to be able to sing tight, clean, heavy and grunting in which the guitar plays a very important leading role.

The emotions of this song seem to be pure as hell and the lyrics can only emphasize that.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the only really killer song of the album, because afterwards, the quality decreases a little. Listen to the fast song Hollywood where especially the clean guitars sound pretty bad. The cheap production is proof of this, but the ballad Anything at All and the title track are signs of the capacity of great songwriting by Zeroscape. Maybe the band needs some more time in the studio next time to work some ideas out a little more.

Its for sure that we havent heard the last of Zeroscape. Im really looking forward to see them live, maybe they can bring something extra compared to the record which is full of different extremities. And if they prove theyre able to do so, we could have our new Bad Brains all of a sudden. Sounds nice doesnt it?

Zeroscape is a Canadian quartet mixing Metal, Hardcore, Reggae and Soul to concoct an alternative music and heavy in his powerful and unique. Do not miss the unique experience of his explosive performance style and intense.

All world music, all the faces in the world … Zeroscape was founded on these principles. No limits to respect and accept. His music is violent, infectious, electric, vibrant and melodic. It is imbued with different musical styles such as Reggae, Alternative Rock, Hip-Hop and Metal.

Rob McLeod said Binski (vocals, guitar) has a style unique to him: he is chanting the texts ragga hardcore, allowing himself to sing on several levels of tone. Binski inspired by his own experiences, faced with the harsh reality of life, and recurring atrocities perpetuated in the world to write his texts. All his feelings and emotions are well expressed in the words of Zeroscape incurred. The guitar work of Speshalizt Binski and produces a wide range of music, the duo complementing perfectly to create very heavy anthems and texture shimmering lead. The rhythm section of McNizzow (bass) and J. Jizzle (drums) lays the foundation bearing his Zeroscape evil and violent beats, which assembled on guitars and vocals, creating one strong entity.

Zeroscape made his debut Sept. 11, 2004 called Braille. This release was followed by a tour, Braille Tour 2004 began in November 2004 and led the group up the east coast of Canada. This is where Zeroscape found his true home, the road, and the members decided to focus on Braille European Tour 2005. To accomplish the miracle of staying six months in Europe across seven different countries and performing an independent tour (remember Danko Jones …) Zeroscape had to sell all his gear in Canada to pay the plane, rent a bus and a new equipment . The band landed the Canadian 1st March 2005 in the United Kingdom and began his journey which will perform 96 shows in six months. This first in-depth work will bring him a new fan base in Europe. Unsigned, the group will have three times to stock up on discs of Canada, Braille selling album like hotcakes.

In 2006, Zeroscape is back with a new album, … And If This Is The End, I Will. ” Since May 1, he turns to the United Kingdom and will be in France and other countries to do a marathon again. Its just the beginning of the new rat race he finds an ally Bad Reputation saving. It should catch up because Zeroscape is on a mission. The world needs to hear his music, whatever the means and consequences.
