Description
The riffs are definitely great on this. The solos are so much better too. Robb Weir was out of the band at this point and would return later but I gotta give guitarists Steve Lamb and Neil Sheppard credit because they clearly tried to put some effort into it. The keyboards are loud in the mix. The best part of the album is vocalist Jon Devrill. He sings his ass off and does a pretty good job of it.

September 27, 2016 marked 30 years without Metallica’s unique Cliff Burton. His father, Ray, who with his family keeps the memory of his son alive, appeared in a video posted on the fanpage “Cliff Burton Family” on Facebook. There, he presented some of Cliff Burton’s favorite records, which the bassist, although very young, had in his collection. According to Ray Burton, they have kept Cliff’s records and are trying to make sure they do not wear out. In Cliff Burton’s discography there is the Tygers of Pan Tang LP “The Wreck Age” and the 12″ single of “Don’t Stop By” of the “handsome children” (as Ray Burton describes them in this video above), Tygers of Pan Tang.

The first “Tygers” without Robb Weir. Jon Deverill leads the album with his usual great voice. The tracks are quite melodic, US airplay tracks popular at the time. Keyboards are in here but there are good guitar licks and riffs. If you are a Tygers fan, this is worth adding to the collection.

A very good album. Following on from the ‘The Cage’ from 1982, this was a great effort, considering its a totally different line-up to the previous album(s). I was impressed by the quality of the songs here-in.
