Description

The Hatters blend of blues-influenced rock, with high-energy funk and some folk established the New York City band on the club circuit. Atlantic signed the band in 1993, and released Live Thunderchicken, culled from their club appearances. The Madcap Adventures of the Avocado Overlord, their debut, appeared in March 1994.

Similar sounding to the Barefoot Servants. 1995’s You Will Be You was the last major label album they released. The followup to their Atlantic debut The Madcap Adventures of the Avacado Overlord was deemed a failure and the band was subsequently dropped. “”The Naked Song,”” the band’s only single from the album, did receive some minor radio attention. But it was not enough to keep the band in the major label game. Despite the lack of commercial success, they did release two solid albums, which in their genre is an accomplishment
1. Dive
2. Where the Wind
3. The Naked Song
4. Statues
5. Colors
6. Yeah Bloom
7. I’ll Walk
8. Skyline
9. Supermarket Pony
10. Underfog
11. Joy Ride
12. You Will Be You
