THE GADD GANG: “Gadd has collaborated since the 70s with ace session men Cornell Dupree, Richard Tee and Eddie Gomez with the group Stuff. Bari sax legend Ronnie Cuber was added to the roster during the 80s and the Gadd Gang was born. This is feel-good music, these seasoned veterans sound like having a heck of a time playing it scoring high marks in the trouser flapping department, great, groovy stuff.”
This is the second band that Gadd dreamed of recreating Stuff, which is a pulling-out album with the theme of Blues Brothers. Ronnie Cubar (sax) quintet from Dupree, Gomez, Tee and MJQ. R & B’s famous songs such as My Girl, King Curtis’s Seoul Serenade, the familiar “Blue Shadow”, and S. Wonder’s “Deliver the Tears” are lined up. If Stuff continued as it was, it would have sounded like this.
The first song is Otis Redding‘s 1965 hit “Keep You Up”
The second song is Medley, Temptations 1965 hit song “My Girl”, the
third song is King Curtis, and the first
song “Soul Serenade” in 1964 is Procol Harum‘s “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” ( A Whiter Shade ) ”
8th song is Stevie Wonder‘s 1970 masterpiece“ Signed, Sealed and Tears ”

5.0 out of 5 stars Gadd Time
Steve Gadd is the best drummer of all time. I used to think it was Dave Weckyl because that guy is insane. But after MANY hours of practising, and LISTENING (key), Steve Gadd Is the Godfather of todays standards. This album is NOT full of flashy drumming, like Weckyl’s is, but there is something that took me many years of learning to understand, is taste. And timekeeping is the most taste a drummer could have. Thanks to Jack Brand, my instructor for years, I understand. He is a Legend people.
