Description
The BLACK LEAGUE: Man’s Ruin Revisited featuring ex-Sentenced vocalist Taneli Jarva. Man’s Ruin is the central concepts in Classic American Old School Tattoo Art the unholy trinity of Drink, Gambling and Wild Women. The Black League is now a dirty rock-n-roll band. Musically, the band definitely has the chops to pull it off, and Jarva’s voice doesn’t sound nearly as out of place as you might expect. In fact, he can rock out with the best of them. The band at times sounds like different combinations of the Hellacopters, newer Corrosion of Conformity, Clutch and AC/DC, without ever sounding too much like any of them

Man’s Ruin…Revisited!
Better Angels (Of Our Nature)
these Finns stand for rough Rock N Roll. They are somewhere between MOTORHEAD and MONSTER MAGNET.
Man’s Ruin Revisited kicks off with the pretty cracking Old World Monkey, which appeals mostly through its well-done riffs. THE BLACK LEAGUE are here pretty jaunty and rocky. But that’s almost the exception. The most remaining songs of the record are rather slow and not as accessible as the opener. The songs Black Water Fever and Lost In The Shadows, I walk Alone are even strongly Blues orientated and pretty gloomy. Maybe not everybody’s taste… I prefer it, too when the band pushes the pedal. When it comes to Taneli’s vocals, one feels inevitably reminded of SENTENCED. The unique singing of the Finn makes out almost 100% of the band’s trademark. While the mid part of the CD is a bit weaker, the end is with the title track and Better Angels (Of Our Nature)†again really good, in my opinion. The production is really pumping, which comes out really nice on the more rocky songs. Man’s Ruin Revisited is altogether a great album, fans of SENTENCED and Taneli Jarva can buy it.
