The talent of singer Terry Brock is beyond question. His rich, soaring tenor has been part of Strangeways, The Sign, and (as backup vox) projects from Kansas, Britny Fox, Michael Bolton, and many others. Now, with “”Back To Eden,”” he delivers the same expressive singing on his own brand of deep, atmospheric A.O.R. Some of the tracks have a Strangeways-ish, keyboard-polished feel. Some have a Midwestern AOR depth to them, like the strong, Jim Peterik-penned title track. Others are even more ambitious, with the pomp majesty of The Sign. Throughout, the album’s energy and sound are wonderful, aimed perfectly for fans of Brock’s past bands. Despite (or perhaps because of) the practised proficiency that pervades the album, “”Back To Eden”” feels more like a return to familiar sounds than anything distinctive or new.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Voice In Melodic Rock Today!!,
You need to get this one! Terry Brock is the most “”in demand”” voice in melodic rock today. He has just been announced as the new frontman for “”Giant””! He has backed up everyone from Kansas to Giant to Seventh Key to Danny Vaughn, as well as being lead singer for mike Slamer and Strangeways (if you have never heard of some of these bands, you need to get them too!) Now he has his first solo album, and it’s a real gem! Terry also sings with the band “”the sign””, which you need to get too. It’s almost as good as this one. Terry Brock has written the 3 best songs in rock history with “”Jaded”” from Slamer’s “”No-Where Land””, “”Love Lies Dying”” from Strangeways, and the very best rock song EVER right here on this album, “”Coming Home.”” Terry probably has no “”pure voice”” rival outside of Steve Perry. (and that is a mouthful)

5.0 out of 5 stars AOR Modern Classic!!!,
Terry Brock is the Ex Strangeways & The Sign singer. He has worked or backed up artists such as Michael Bolton, Seventh Key, Michael Gleason and Mike Slammer. His most notable work was his Strangeways CD and Michael Bolton’s – Everybody’s Crazy. His voice is very unique and very strong. He sings with passion and you love to listen to his CD’s. This CD is in the vein of the Strangeways sound and he delivers yet again. This was one of the best CD’s in 2001 in this genre and you will soon tell why. From beginning to end, there are no fillers and the song writing is very good. If you love bands like Journey, Strangeways, Alias, Survivor and Bad English this CD is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, what a great Melodic Rock CD….
Terry Brock’s vocals soar on this masterpiece. Add in heavy, catchy guitar riffs and classic melodies and you have one hell of a CD. If you like Survivor, Journey or any type of melodic rock, you will love this CD. “”Forever Now””, “”Waiting””, “”Need someone to Love”” are stand outs. You will feel the Survivor influence on “”Back to Eden””. One of the best CDs I have bought.

After the remarkable The Sign album, a very good solo effort for the mighty voice of Strangeways.

At that folks, is what this is – perfect AOR. The songwriting on Back To Eden is heavenly and second to none as far as melodic rock goes.
This is indeed a great AOR record and one we may not forget ! To every AOR fan. This is a MUST for your collection. The man has a golden voice !

the songs are pretty good,  Great songs in this album.

Great, great AOR by the voice of Strangeways !  This is a fine AOR album ! Check it out ! Terry brock who released with strangeways two of the most finest aor albums ever released in history then all of a sudden disappears into thin air…years later he comes with a real bang! and proves to every single one of us that the strangeways phenomenon was not something casual and that he can do it all on his own; and there you have it! one of the finest releases in 2001, an album that has earned the classic status in a very short period of time.great voice;great album;great everything!!.

Mr Brock still has it after all these years. Superb voice and great melodic rock songs to boot.

I fully agree ! Great voice, nice songs, great AOR album !

Awesome album, great voice and superb tunes. All I can say is that ‘Waiting’ is one of the most spine chilling and perfect moments in melodic rock history. I love this song and could listen to it forever. Great voice and great songs…

Guess it’s true, you never know what you’ve got until it’s gone. This is it for me, numero uno. The best, number one. Even more than Out of the Silence, more so than last of the Runaways. The reasons are all personal. My greatest CD. Can it be wrong to lose control?

I still stand by my words. This is number one… absolute brilliance. This is when your Nan would buy you Tunes even though you didn’t have a cough, a packet of lockets without cold. This is finding the Liverpool badge on a cold winters night in your packet of pannini stickers. 2p Flying saucers and Toffoes, a Stryper bar and a packet of Piglets. The Giddy Game Show and James The Cat never had anything on this..Come with me to the rolling sea and Portland Bill can let it play. Brock is the King!

Must have! 10/10
very good release by TERRY BROCK with great production ,many good songs and much feeling.the only permanent problem with Terry s work is that there is never a feelgood vibe and all the songs are emotional, dark or mellow.i d love to see this direction in the future.highlights here are :”forever now”,”native sons” and “light of the moon”.good release

Finally i got this CD  and well it cannot be less than a good album with strong cuts but some others half the way IMO and respecting people’s opinions in here…my faves are “Audio Life Dream”(an “intro” with a collage of some 80’s AOR tunes),”I Wanna Love Somebody”, “Native Sons”, “Waiting”(nice),”Forever Now”, “Another Chance”(nice, catchy)& “We Invented Love”…an album that is recommended but if you compare it with his second album “Diamond Blue” of 2010 it pales a bit(a lot actually)…a matter of tastes i guess…88/100

This original cd was hard as hell to find for me. Finally got it tho!
