5.00 stars Amazing compilation of TANK’s early 80’s material. Pretty much covers the whole spectrum musically. TANK was a nice mix of MOTORHEAD, fast SAXON and even some early British hardcore, all gelled together to form a very likeable amalgam of fast paced heavy metal. Their sound was always primitive and to some people this was a barrier for not liking the band, but I honestly think it only made them more interesting, if less mainstream.
“Turn Your Head Around”, “The Power Of The Hunter”, “Shellshocked” are just some of the many stand out songs, all of which were previously available on their early albums.
It’s a shame that time hasn’t been very kind to this band, one of the unheard influences of the Thrash Metal genre. Just go and ask Lars from METALLICA and you’ll see what I mean!
