Beautiful straightforward (Christian) rock music. Musically influenced by bands such as Quicksand and Fugazi, Stavesacre offers us their fourth epos. Stavesacre was named after a beautiful, but poisonous flower and was formed in 1995 by artists from Orange County. After releasing three albums on Tooth & Nail, touring with bands like P.O.D. and Project 86, they thought it was time for something new. Stavesacre deserves the attention of a larger group of rock fans. Their contemporary music is driven by great guitar work, stunning melodies and intelligent song structures. Both vocally and musically the best song on this album is “”Yes”” a violin, a viola and a cello support the additional female vocals on this beautiful song. This piece of art has been produced by David Bianco of Danzig and Tom Petty fame. Frontman Mark Salomon combines melody with powerful and raw singing. His vocal range varies from Chris Cornell to Ozzy Osbourne. If you think this is a strange, but interesting mix, it’s time to find out for yourself! This Nitro Records debut is available now. So what are you waiting for?]

The hardcore CCM supergroup Stavesacre formed in 1995, with vocalist Mark Solomon (the Crucified, Native Son), guitarist Jeff Bellew (Crucified, Chatterbox), drummer Jeremy Moffat (the Blamed), and bassist Dirk Lemmenes. Heavy and leaning toward hardcore metal and thrash, their original sound had more in common with Die Happy or Tourniquet. The group released their debut album, Friction, in early 1996, followed a year later by Absolutes. In that time, Scaterd Few drummer Sam West had replaced Moffat. Stavesacre returned in 1999 with Speakeasy with a new second guitarist, Ryan Dennee. Bellew left very soon after to get married, so Stairwell guitarist Neil Samoy took his place. A collection, aptly titled Collective, summed up their period on Tooth & Nail, chronicling their slow transition from heavy metal to emo rock. By the time of their Nitro Records debut, (stavz’a’ker), the band had fully transitioned into an emo band. The group released two full-lengths shortly thereafter: 2001’s Collective and 2002’s (stavz’a’ker).
