5.0 out of 5 stars Hair Metal at its best!!!,
This Cd is one from a Band that fit the total 80s hair metal scene. From the hit video single “Rebel” this is the perfect CD for those longing to relive that 80s feel of BIG HAIR, RIPPED JEANS, and Screaming Guitars!!! One of the best bands from that time in music that most don’t know about.
5.0 out of 5 stars First rate melodic rock album.
Like House of Lords, Silent Rage was a better than average melodic rock band that KISS mastermind Gene Simmons took under his wing for his Simmons Records subsidiary of RCA. And like House of Lords, Simmons micromanaged the hell out of the band, forcing a name change (that failed), a cover song (ELOs “Can’t Get Her Out of My Head”) and the choice of producer (Paul Sabu). For the most part, these changes were for the better. Simmons is a pretty savvy operator after all. I’ll stick with the House of Lords comparison because Silent Rages sound is actually pretty close to the HoL style of polished, keyboard-driven melodic rock. There are some really memorable songs on this album, but the best has to be the hook-heavy title track, which reminds me a LOT of Hurricanes “I’m On To You”.
I’d go so far as to call Don’t Touch Me There a must-have melodic rock album. If you like bands like House of Lords/Giuffria, Giant, King Kobra and Hurricane, you’ll definitely want to check out what Silent Rage was all about.
5.0 out of 5 stars DON’T TOUCH ME THERE,
I first heard this when I was in the Navy. I thought
that both the musicians and music was terrific.

5.0 out of 5 stars Overlooked Great Rock N Roll, This CD Rocks all the way from the beginning to the end. I got to say i grew up listening to all the 80s & 90s rock but somehow i missed this band. If you like Whitesnake I Promise you’ll love this band.

top quality hard rock. Great CD. Great re-do of “Can’t Get Her Out Of My Head” too. Great band…. This is a classic of melodic hard rock.It reminds me Y&T, Night Ranger and King Kobra. I don’t know where these body builders find the time to play so well and look so big, but I play this lots of times.

What a shame a band that had this much musical talent didn’t make it huge….great sounding tunes…for people who like the way music used to be made in the 80s with pounding drums…nice guitar riffs and a raspy lead singer listen/buy this CD.

I bought this album when it was 1st released back in 89 and thought it rocked and I still listen to it this very day and still get the same charge out of it as I did back then. Amazing.

The album rocks all the way through. My personal favorite song is Don’t touch me there. Perfect example of melodic metal.
Great sounding CD, very well executed. Great mix of songs from the disco like “i wanna feel it” to the power ballad “all night long”. This Cd has something for all rock fans!

great CD……WOW……I’m lovin’ it! Can NOT get the song “Don’t Touch Me There” out of my head now! This is another band I had heard of, but never heard before….and just bought it off the advice of a friend…..GLAD I did. Great stuff!!

1 of only 2 good Simmons/RCA bands. This was their best CD There are some great ballads on this one. Its too bad they weren’t more active during the 90s grunge years. One of the best bands to come off the Sunset Strip ever.

If you like the keyboard-filled AOR tunes on the first Only Child album then you’ll want to buy this for “Rebel with a Cause” and “All Night Long”, classic stuff.

I heard ‘Rebel with a cause’ on a Hard n’Heavy video one dark and stormy night, and spent the next 5 years wanting this CD. I eventually got it and I still love it. A aforementioned track is sensational, as is the title track (Massive hooks!) ‘Can’t get her out of my head’ is one of my favourite covers ever. ‘All night long’ and ‘Tonight your mine’ are awesome slabs of melodic hard rock too. Overall excellent release!

Still a great album, even after 15 years or so. This always reminds me very much of the classic ‘Only Child’ CD, obviously because of Paul Sabus involvement in the production and writing – ‘Rebel With A Cause’ could have been lifted straight off that album. To conclude, Excellent Melodic rock, highly recommended.

When compared to the debut, this album is a monster. Not a weak song to be found in my opinion. The band really developed well, bringing over one song to do again (Rebel With A Cause) from the first record. All in all, a very strong 80s metal album. The title track has the huge fat choruses, “Tonight You’re Mine” may be one of the best power ballads of the decade, and all the other tracks are very nicely done. I strongly recommend this one to 80s metal fans.

Good Melodic Hard Release.
Wow, this is pure melodic rock genius. Apart from the amazing ‘Rebel with a Cause’, which one can seemingly hear over and over again without tiring of it, the album also peaks with the upbeat rockers ‘I wanna feel it again’, shake me up’ and the awesome ballad ‘All night long’. Excellent album!

Josh, I’ve had this for 13 years now and I still can listen to “Rebel” back to back. Its just one of those songs that never needs to end.

One of the Must have CDs for your collection. Very whitesnake ísh. A good album you can cruise along on a hot summer night to with friends or a hot lady friend.

Great CD!! I just recently bought this one and it didn’t take too long for me to really like it! Awesome late 80s commercial hard rock; if you’re in to that, check it out – its a must!!
———————————————————————————————–
fine hard rock on this disc, I hear the influence of Foreigner on a few songs…not a bad thing….very catchy stuff, fav songs are Running on Love, Touch Me and Don’t Touch me There…….well worth having and I will be picking up the rest of their releases….
———————————————————————————————–
musically talking reminded me of White Sister and even what Paul Sabu (he had worked and produced the band) has done himself… “Runnin’ On Love” is a pretty cool one,a highlight,”I Wanna Feel It Again” proudly rocks,”Tonight You’re Mine” is a soft powerful ballad,”Rebel With A Cause” is obviously one of the best in here (this re-make is rockier than the one that appeared in their debut album) it also has that AOR vibe,”Tear Up The Night” is a catchy song,”Shake Me Up” has some kind of a groovy beat,”Don’t Touch Me There” has some AOR sparks,”Can’t Get Her Out Of My Head” is a killer ballad,i have heard this one before somewhere else??? ???,”All Night Long” is another power killer ballad & “I’m On Fire” rocks 2 end the album…put this one and Shattered Hearts as 2 obligated Silent Rage albums to have.94/100
