This is an album that you cannot get tired of hearing. It mixes hip-hop, funk, metal with a bit of reggae and delivers an interesting and diverse mix of music that will always sound fresh.
Unlike so many bands these days, Shootyz Groove always try and get across a message that you want to hear. The highly spiritual nature of their lyrics is not lost even when they are hammering out a killer riff, and it might even make you think a bit.
It has the capacity to grab you by the throat and throw you about but can also chill you right out.

Buy this album. Enjoy the music. Everybody feel the vibe.

This sounds very of its time, and exactly what you’d imagine when you see those genre tags. However this is done about as well as you can do the genre. The crew of Ricans from the Bronx provides us with some hard hitting drums, tight and groovy basslines and heavy and satisfying funk metal riffs. The rapping is tight, mostly some classic, light hearted riggity-rap type rhymes with a few more conscious and introspective tracks. Overall, this album is just a lot of fun. As someone with close to zero interest in rap rock/metal, I’d definitely recommend.
