5.0 out of 5 stars Ozzy Jr.?,
The Black Sabbath influence is obvious. The vocalist sounds very close to the Ozzy man himself. This album will blow you away! All my friends have now ordered it from Amazon after I played it at a party. MTV said rock is dead. If so, how do you explain this album? Also check out Orange Goblin, Unida, Nebula, Spirit Caravan (Winos new band!) & Monster Magnet!

5.0 out of 5 stars OLD SABBATH FANS BE AWARE,
This CD is what all of us old Sabbath fans have been waiting for. Yes sure, its sounds like a Sabbath rip off….but god damn they do such a great job its like listening to old unheard of Sabbath tracks. I’ve played in a lot of bands that play Sabbath and these guys are the next best thing….maybe even better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bias aside.,
I am a 56 year old male who has had the pleasure of being there from the beginning. Garage, psych, prog(heavy),hard rock, heavy rock, metal, blues rock, blues & all things related. This by no means makes me an expert, but I do own 3,600+ cds & 1,500+ lps in this genre plus I’ve listened to countless others that I’ve resold, deciding not to keep them.
I’m very aware of the stoner movement, the new Scandinavian retro, etc.I search non-stop for new old things & old sounding new things that continue that rush that we seek that brings on that flood of good feelings, both past & present.
Obviously,if you do not like music of this nature than this band is not for you, but if you love the Budgie,Sabbath,Dust,Bang,Buffalo(countless others)sound & can appreciate Atomic Bitchwax, Kyuss, Trouble,(and once again countless others) etc. then I believe that you will appreciate this band.
Drop your pre-conceived notion that only Ozzy has the right to do this.Open your mind & ears because yes, Steve Hennessey does sound like the”Madman Godfather.”
This is not a rip of anyone’s opinion that has written a review of this CD, just a simple statement. Black Sabbath is no longer a viable source of their music & this gets as close as you can imagine.Put the bias aside, let the desire for a new CD by them take hold, resist the temptation to split hairs & allow yourself to be transformed to another time.
I feel that its just that good.
p.s. I’m going to be buying some more by this band in the near future.

I love this album, esp. the song “Savannah”. It is one of those songs where you get goosebumps all over.
If you like heavy music, that still has melody (unlike much of the rest of the so-called metal out there) this album is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, No Better Than This,
This stuff only sounds best LOUD. And its amazing! I’d like to think this is the direction Sabbath should’ve taken in ’79 but never did. If Ozzy was still was with them, I’m sure they’d develop and mature to this level. They’re all much more mature musicians, so why they don’t reunite is beyond me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing heaviness…absolutely amazing…,
I’ll start off by saying I’m biased. I’ve been a Sheavy fan for a few years now. This is a 5 star album no doubt. “Automation” is pure poetry. The title-track, Electric Sleep, is amazing. Virtual machine is amazing. Listen to the samples! Go to the bands website! BUY IT NOW! At first listen, one can not help but notice the vocal similarities to Ozzy, in certain songs. There’s no doubt about that, and no ones denying it. But its not like they are TRYING to sound that way..he just does! But listen to Velvet…same people, but nothing like Ozzy. In all honesty, in some songs, they exceed Sabbath by far… GET IT! Sheavy Rocks!

5.0 out of 5 stars without a doubt the best hard rock/metal album of ’98,
With the Electric Sleep Sheavy have become true masters of their chosen form of music, and innovators… Steve hennesey sounds more like a bizarre Robert Plant with a touch of Ozzy than just an ozzy clone, making the all too many ozzy comparisons unfair i think. This outing throw us some incredible tracks, perhaps some of the grooviest, rocking numbers heard in years. Proving, to me at least, that instead of being retro doom soldiers following blindly in the road paved by sabbath, they are taking a sharp turn, and lie somewhere off the beaten path on their own, a bizarre hybrid of Sabbath doom, Zeppelin wail, and southern groove, simply put… They have a huge sound that has to be heard for ones self

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Stoner,
Cracking Stoner rock from a band who`s vocalist sounds like Ozzy Osborne. If you love Stoner rock, you will love this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kick Ass Grooviness,
Ok… i have been a huge sHEAVY fan for a real long time. With Steve’s awesome lyrics, Dan’s Groovy guitar playing, Ren’s sweet drum beats and Keith’s perfect bass playing the band is 100% unique. Therefore all i am trying to say is they deserve all the respect and credit they are getting plus more.
