This is the proof that SHADOWKEEP are currently the unchallenged Number One of the British Metal Underground scene. The healthy balance of metallic toughness on the one hand and the great melodies on the other is an ideal recipe for the bands exciting songs. You really hear that this is a concept album, uniting the different parts with short instrumentals. The songs themselves are mostly very progressively tinged power metal pieces, not too epic to be called pompous. Rogue M.s vocals may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but his very high pitched voice never sounds effeminate or castrated, but rather artsy in a positive way. Not to forget the excellent guitar work on this album.

Its a shame that most people who dig metal will overlook this one due to poor marketing. Heavy with UNIQUE vocals.
Heavy MetaLLL!!!,
This album blasts off with heavy riffage and lasts throughout the entire CD. The vox are early Hetfield-esque, and a few of the songs sound like early Metallica. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think they do. The lady guitarist really shreds too. I’m lucky I discovered these guys cause I’ve been tired of spinning the same CDs over and over. Tune this sucker up loud cause you’re gonna wanna headbang your locks off.
DON’T DARE PASS THIS UP, if you love metal!
This is really 10 stars. HEAVY drums (did I say heavy?), awesome vocals, SERIOUS music, that puts the heavy…in heavy metal.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wasn’t sure what to expect here, but what a nice surprise!,
The music industry tends to overlook a lot of great bands simply because they aren’t shall we say as marketable as others. This really is a shame since a lot of really good bands go totally unnoticed by the vast majority. However their loss is our gain as many of these bands totally kick butt.

Shadowkeep with this release proves that, yet again this style of music is far from dead, in fact its stronger than ever even if most of it is pretty much underground.

This release is an excellent listen for start to finish. It really does bring it tune wise and the mix is also very good. The musicianship is excellent and the singer is not over the top. He brings it very well with lots of passion in his delivery.

All in all this is a very good listen!

Pick it up!

Its a shame that most people who dig metal will overlook this one due to poor marketing. This band gets better with each album. Heavy with UNIQUE vocals. Now I know what happened to metal, it freakin went overseas.
