Neoclassic Prog Metal
I’ve always loved it when musicians live their passion body and soul. Thus, all those (maybe I should say “”the few””…) who play making us feel what they really have inside are – to me – the greatest. And yes, Seven Seraphim is definitely part of that charming “”elite””… Led by a young yet very talented guitarist, Andrew Szucs, the American four-piece came up with a rather unique blend of Neoclassic Hard/AOR and Progressive Metal that is way more than your average cheap rockin’ melodrama. The result here is really interesting because it neither weak, nor is it exaggeratedly pompous. It like they took only the best from each of the two genres. Plus they didn’t forget that the most important thing in music is the catchiness, so I can swear you won’t find patterns on “”Believe In Angels”” that are gratuitously made complex. Well, maybe there are a few flights of lyricism here and there, but they’re part of the finishing touches; it not like the songs are based on inextricable patterns on purpose… Besides, I find the song skeletons quite “”simple””. Those who know Yes in their “”Union””-period can draw a parallel in their mind and understand why I put this “”simple”” between quotation marks… Seven Seraphim is made for people who like fresh sensations…
