Rub Ultra blend Reggae-esque vocals with heavy rhythms and chugging guitars. Fair enough, you might say So did the band Dub War, and a couple of others whose names escape me. But THIS IS DIFFERENT. Its two vocalists for the price of one. Male and Female, working together in strange harmonies and vocal patterns which seem to fit disturbingly well over the decidedly heavy music. Every now and then the music trips out a bit and the male vocalist starts ranting vaguely about strange topics (as you can tell by the titles, no doubt) whilst the guitars conjure up a psychedelic atmosphere. If you look past the oddity of the lyrics and the occasional strange passages, what lies beneath is a solid example of heavy music with a difference. It makes a change to see a bit of originality, especially in the heavy music scene, and for its time this was as original as it got
