 Swedish trash/metal/hardcore -band from Linköping

Void is post-hardcore speed/thrash metal as it should be. We’re talking fast, hard and deathly, yet nicely constructed. These six Swedes show that even in a limited genre, it possible to push the boundaries of what commonly accepted to be the rules. As if often the case with music this extreme, Claudio Marino gruff vocals are barely discernible yet frankly that doesn’t matter as they form part of the overall intense mix. Here and there, samples are used to augment the traditional instruments but essentially Void is a twin guitar attack and pummeling drum experience. There a few seconds of operatic nonsense on Carnal Vessel that’d appeal to fans of Cradle of Filth; however, overall this is a focused affair with spot on production by Tommy Tagtgren. If you’re sick of the retro rubbish being peddled by certain karaoke area acts and prefer intelligent, creative modern metal then you won’t be disappointed by Void.
