5.0 out of 5 stars More Glam Rock Please!,
I was thinking about buying this album purely on the strength of the bands name…. I’ve done it before… But then I heard a few songs, and knew I had to have it. If you’ve ever wondered (and I’m sure many of us have on occasion) what the outcome would be if you spliced together the genes of King Adora and The Young Offenders and combined them with the frozen semen of Marc Bolan, and used the resulting sperm to fertilise a Surferosa egg…. well these guys could be the answer to that conundrum.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something Different and FUN!,
The sound of this band is certainly unique!! the musics like glam-rock with a pop twist, and its very uplifting and has greatly amusing lyrics. Its a great record for just listening to while you’re partying (particularly!) or whatever. Its weird, but I think that’s what gives it such appeal. This record definitely has a humorous edge to it! the name does it for me – “Robin Black and the Intergalactic Rockstars” – very Glam! the lyrics are so simple and so right out that they make me laugh.
I think that anyone and everyone should BUY this record, you wont be disappointed, it makes me smile over and over again when i listen to it. These are one of Canada’s finest, and as all the best bands actually come from Canada that’s a pretty good achievement. 5 stars for rockin’ my world!

BEING FROM CANADA, I’VE HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING ROBIN BLACK AND HIS FORMER BAND THE BALLROOM ZOMBIES ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, ONE TIME ROBIN ACTUALLY LET ME ON STAGE TO VIDEOTAPE THE WHOLE CONCERT! THIS CD ROCKS HARD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally!!! Music I can relate to!,
I am a child of the 80s. I love Glam Rock, big hair, and spandex. Mind you, now in my 30s its harder to find spandex to fit a “spare tire”, and a comb over really doesn’t lend itself to creating a good mullet (was there ever such a thing?). The music of the 80s (big hair, bad lyrics, yelling, screeching, pyrotechnics, and FUN) was killed by grunge (shudder). A two minute fad that left no lasting impression and destroyed a decade. I have yet to find a replacement and have been forced to replay my Motley Crue, Poison, Whitesnake, and Warrant cassettes (those are the predecessors to CDs for those of you born after 1984). Now, whether its a compliment or not, ROBIN …. BLACK & THE INTERGALACTIC ROCK STARS fills this void better than half of the trashy 80s bands I love so much. The punk-glam feeling pounds from the speakers and knocks you back to (dare I say) the good ol’ days when music was fun and loud and arrogant and quasi-obnoxious. You want depression, you want melancholy? Listen to the junk on the alternative station. You want a good time? Robin Black is here for you. The best thing to come out of Canada since Mickeys Beer. I only wish I could give this album and the band more stars. I owe my sanity and a blown pair of speakers to Planet Fame. My kids think I’m nuts, but this is the best time I’ve had since I was 17. Thank you Robin Black.
