From Tooting To Barking – Quireboys
An interesting insight into the origins of the band. For established fans. This is an excellent hard rock album, it came out the same time as the Black Crows début, and was 10 times better. The best song is a rock classic, 7 o’clock.

Formed in the late 80s, The Quireboys quickly became the darlings of the rock press and secured a deal with EMI. This, their 1990 opus, peaked at no.2 in the UK album charts establishing them as one of the nations premier rock bands of the era. ‘From Tooting to Barking’ features several of the The band split in the mid 90s but have recently reformed and have undertaken several tours, most notably with Whitesnake.

a ten song offering of early work from Spike ‘n’ the boys, when they were performing under the name Queerboys. crude versions of what would eventually become strong tracks on later day Quireboys’ albums, such as “Man On The Loose”, “Seven O’Clock” and “Mayfair”. In addition, a pair of  acoustic numbers, “Where’ve You Been To” and “Devil Of A Man”, are dropped into the mix. An interesting insight into the origins of the band. This is disc hardcore fans will love…

Ten infectious tracks from the Brit glam rock group Quireboys, otherwise known as Guy and Spike.
This is an excellent hard rock album, it came out the same time as the Black Crows début, and was 10 times better, but after this album, they pretty much dropped off of the face of the earth. The best song is a rock classic, 7 o’clock.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like opening a time capsule to good old Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Any fan of The Quireboys will love this album as the recording actually predates their debut album A Bit of What You Fancy. Showcasing some of the classic Quireboys hits, kicking off with 7 O’Clock, Hey You, Man On The Loose, Mayfair, Where’ve You Been To, Whipping Boy, Devil of a Man, Hates to Please, I Don’t Love You Anymore, Roses and Rings. The recording is so raw that this adds to the charm, songs which would be developed for their outstanding debut and which remain staple concert favourites all these years later.
This is The Quireboys and this is Rock ‘n’ Roll.
