They produced three Top 10 singles, “Take Me Back”, “Touch” and “Hot Chilli Woman” before disbanding in 1992. Reunion tours occurred in 1999, 2004 and 20072008.
if only mainstream music had the same quality right now….!! Most Aussie music these days lacks the soul of yester-year. Yes music can be made in a studio but soul comes from the streets and from the heart. These songs are timeless and our grandchildren will know them because under the music is soul that connects with everyone. Today’s music seems to come from a studio driven by producers who all sit around and write music to sell records as opposed to something that has touched them.

Dont know why these guys never had more critical or commercial success… I guess it was partly they were recording at the same time Jimmy Barnes was releasing his great solo albums… and? John Farhnam in 87 released the greatest selling album of all time (at the time it was anyway) so maybe these guys were just unlucky…. 2 years earlier… 2 years later… who knows… but they are still GREAT!!!
In similar vein to other 80’s era bands like Heart, Europe, Survivor, etc., they actually were really quite good and offered sophisticated melodic rock with refinement and cohesion, and didn’t overdo the synth content. A ballad here and there, but their true forte was their rock fare which never got out of control but rather drove along nicely, and the public agreed with the album going triple platinum in Australia. You know, there are endless bands like this that are passed over, while they offer great music. Digging the crates usually offers treasures like this – long live crate digging!
