it’s supposed to be a fun record. Its got some great tunes.

Manic Panic is essentially a Crossover record, but instead of blending Hardcore and Thrash, MX MACHINE combine straight-up Metal, with a touch of MOTORHEAD Rock/Punk/Metal, and Hardcore-ish vocals and lyrics. Unlike most bands of the era, MX MACHINE weren’t about speed for speed sake, as most of the songs pound out at a moderate pace that never even approaches Thrash or Hardcore tempos. Even without a reliance on speed, this is still a high energy, aggressive collection of good ole kick-ass. Judging by the sticker on the cover “”No Glam Fags”” was supposed to be their theme song or some shit, and though it plainly un-PC, it more imbecilic than it is offensive; On the whole though, Manic Panic is damn good… and surprisingly so!

The attitude here is one that I hold dear…””No Glam Fags””…yeah, that one of the songs on this album. MX MACHINE really despise the LA glam scene and, as an act of rebellion, have a lot of fun insulting them in the aforementioned track.. High intensity, raucously funny, and down-to-earth. Yeah, that MX MACHINE for you.
Produced by Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT), MX MACHINE has this serious nuclear energy that ready and willing to knock you right through the wall…face first.

According to MX drummer, Liquid Dan, “”We designed this album for the youth of America. If you’re young and pissed off, this is just the total ‘get-it-off-your-chest’ album””. i tend to agree. The LP cover just rips…got this little rodent kid wearing a batman sweatshirt and he wearing this “”fuck you”” facial expression and shoving a clenched fist right in your face. Wow. On the back are all these doodles of freaky monsters…real cool…do an 8-ball and jam to this shit. The lyrics are just plain killing! Be sure to check out these tracks: “”Kick You In The Face””, “”No Glam Fags””, “”Fuck The Neighbors””, and “”Youth””.Deadly music, high-intensity kick-you-in-the-face tonnage here, folks!!
