Orgasmatron is the seventh album by the British band Motörhead, released in 1986. It is the only full Motörhead album to feature Pete Gill on the drums, although he also played on the four new tracks recorded for the 1984 No Remorse compilation album.
The albums working title was Ridin’ with the Driver and later changed to Orgasmatron, it was too late for Joe Petagno to change the cover art and the train design was used.
It features some of Motörhead’s heaviest songs (“Orgasmatron” and “Deaf Forever”) and it is the album (along with No Remorse) that got Motörhead back on track after the critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful 1983 album Another Perfect Day. The album reached number 21 in the UK charts
As well as alluding to the original name of the album, Joe Petagno also commented on the concept behind the album cover:
[Lemmy] was living on a houseboat then, and collecting train models. He said, “You know, Joseph, I want a fucking train.” It seemed weird to me… [laughs] but, yet again it worked.
The preliminary sketch had the Orgasmatron train going in the opposite direction, but Petagno “decided to turn it so it was going out of the picture rather than coming into it.” It gave me a lot of trouble, because [of] trying to fit the head in front of the train with this cow scoop. But it worked in the end.
All tracks composed by Würzel, Phil Campbell, Pete Gill, Lemmy

ORGASMATRON is what I consider their last “truly great” album. I’m a huge fan of their past albums and I seriously doubted the band could top it. Granted, having 2 guitar players in a band that has been a trio forever would ultimately change the sound. It was nice to hear that the sound wasn’t dramatically altered, yet there are subtle changes that made ORGASMATRON sound fresh. “Deaf Forever” opens the album with a bang: a slow paced number that resonates with heaviness. “Nothing Up My Sleeve” is just classic, fast paced MOTORHEAD. The song slightly reminds me of “20, 000 feet”, a classic SAXON song. “Claw”,”Mean Machine” and “Riding With The Driver” are classic fast MOTORHEAD, while the title track shows a different sound, more akin to BLACK SABBATH. Its a slow, marching number that reeks of heaviness in a way the band hadn’t attempted before. It strays a bit from MOTORHEADs blues-based mayhem and veers directly into more traditional euro-metal.
Επίσης, εδώ υπάρχει το “Built for speed” που μεταμορφώθηκε σε “On the road” για χάρη των οπαδών τους, που τους τιμούν στις ζωντανές εμφανίσεις τους.
