Description
With their new album “”Weight Of The Hammer”” the Finns really have tried their best and changed their style a little. They no longer walk the thrashy path, but have saddled the Epic Metal-horse! The ride is mostly in mid-paced regions and the songs are well structured. “”Pirates Of The Northern Sea””, which starts really fast, but then grows into a mid-tempo-monster. Or “”Manala””, a Doom-song that would have done ST.VITUS feel! And then have the great intro “”The Death Of Klaus Fleming”” that turns into the song “”The Sign Of Turisas””, could just as well have stood on the last FALKENBACH! “”Weight Of The Hammer”” sounds like a rough bastard of the first BROCAS HELM, MANILLA ROAD and ST.VITUS. Fans of such obscure bands, who are not really spoilt with similar products have to get this one. Not least because the album has a heavy, warm sound, similar to classic MANILLA ROAD!
