Helsinki, Finland, 1986. I bet every young band would like to start their career the way Melrose did. They were the band everybody seemed to be talking about, the band everybody just had to see. Melrose was this whirlwind trio playing a high energy mixture of rock’n’roll and rockabilly, with a healthy dash of psychobilly thrown in for good measure. Three guys in their late teens, lots of raw sexuality, absolutely zero compromise. They spread their message all over Central Europe and Great Britain, touring England with the Godfathers and criss-crossing Europe with various soulmates. They created a serious habit of blowing the headliners off the stage. Night after night. Musically, they got adventurous feel one could describe as soul electric. Hurt, lust, anger, love – the emotions come through pure and true. Trio is Melroses fifth album to date. Its a ten song killer stacked with scorching items like the raunchy opener Road Is The Light, the swamp funk Shove It, the ultra catchy The Chief, not to mention the heartfelt (Right There) Beside You… Loudsprecher Records the label that released this record is describing it as Bluesy Rock´n Roll with a shot of rockabilly.
