Lunatic Asylum recorded “From beyond …” a concept album of about 40 minutes. Not easy to label.
Check the chorus of “The Prophet”, the harsh sounds and feeling of loneliness of “Lies and Sorrow” which turn into anger and despair in “Fears”. Fears that find comfort in the hope of “The Embrace Of The Black Queen” and the feeling of love that “Waiting For The Dawn” gives. Feelings described by the profound and heartfelt lyrics of Mario. From Beyond gathered very positive reviews throughout the world.

From beyond… is a beautiful six-piece promo and Lunatic Asylum are a great band. Stop.
The review could very well end like this, as the promo in question does not show any drop in quality throughout its duration, almost 38 minutes of valid music: excellent technical-compositional qualities of the musicians involved and excellent production so much so that From Beyond… could very well be considered a valid product for top record labels. The genre proposed by the group is classic Heavy/Power Metal.
Italy boasts several underground groups dedicated to the same genre and very deserving, but in Lunatic Asylum compared to other bands, you understand that you are dealing with guys who are not beginners as they come from a long apprenticeship, and it is precisely their experience that makes the difference. Their way of making music is reasoned, unlike many others who, despite having the ability, get carried away by enthusiasm, sometimes negatively influencing the success of a song.
I take the vocalist as an example of this, who is gifted with an excellent throat, that wisely uses his voice without launching into useless senseless screaming where it is not required.

Another quality of the band is knowing how to mix the heavy power and prog components of their sound without one prevailing over the other, giving the songs a modern sound while keeping the classic heavy matrix alive.
Another valid group, a big hope for the future, a band that could make people talk about them.
