Lil Fi is an Australian singer songwriter that has a unique way of electrifying an atmosphere with her wit and pizazz. Whether she is appearing as a duo with Dirk Dubois on his eclectic collection of steel body and acoustic guitars, or featuring the expanded lineups with the unmistakable talents of Peter Howell on double bass and the colouring of Andy Vogels harmonica and piano accordion or the fine jazz guitar of Ross Williams it only serves to enhance what is already a sublime entertainer. Lil Fi she writes intelligently, understands dynamics and can eloquently express a tender thought as well as a raunchy notion. With her empowering lyrics (very good observations about life, love and our need to look after the environment) and a naturally sassy character Lil Fi writes and sings songs that make people feel simply fantastic. This album is bold, raw and a truly moving statement. The best recording to date from Lil Fi. After her success with the RETAIL THERAPY CD (which is now going into its 4th pressing) Lil’ Fi decided it was time to reinvent and get back to a more organic sounding album.

Lil’ Fi – Retail Therapy – this gal sure can not only pack it to ’em in a live concert, but her CDs are great too! She writes most of the songs with her other half Dirk who BTW, is the bass player in Chain. Lil’ Fi’s approach to her audience is fresh and exciting and embraces the styles of Rockabilly, uptown modern country and the whole width of old and new blues. Many of these songs a right up the alley for the gals and have been tailor made for the average woman. For example ‘ Shop till you drop’ could well be the gal’s anthem. You gotta see her live and you gotta get the CD. Great for any party time !
