Description
KINGHORSE: S/T
Kinghorse attracted a good deal of critical interest after their debut release (this album) not least because they had secured cover artwork from legendary heavy metal artist Pushead (singer of Septic Death, but best known for his work with Metallica) and had Glenn Danzig (of Misfits and Danzig fame) on production duties. The resultant album was an exercise in heated nihilism and aggressive angst. Potent, painfully gritty and at times, oddly poignant, Kinghorse were perhaps too unremittingly bleak for most tastes.

5.0 out of 5 stars BAD… in such a good way, I’d forgotten all about this excellent album until I rediscovered it in my collection and listened to it again. What can I say? It blew me away… for the second time! The mixture of Black Flag punk aggression and melodic, yet so twisted, metal had me smiling like a Cheshire cat. And then there’s their excellent Pushead cover artwork – what more could you want? Buy this and find out what metal SHOULD be about
5.0 out of 5 stars magnificent,
What can I say? You hear something and you know it’s great from the moment the first chord sounds. This music gets me excited in a way no music ever has done except maybe Bad Brains. And the bizarre thing is, I don’t even have the album. I’ve only heard about five of their songs and they were on a skateboard video and I recorded them and listened to them that way. Sad I know, but until now I have found it impossible to get hold of the album. Soon as I get it, I’m going to make everybody listen to it: at work, at home, in the street, at the police station, at the barracks, in the old people’s home, on the hospital radio; they will all know about Kinghorse, whether they like it or not.
