Gargantua Soul seem to be picking up where Faith No More left off, replete with a cornucopia of tastes equaling their six distinct personalities. Singer Wanigi Ho’s snarls have the quivering effect of Henry Rollins and the former Black Flag frontman’s build to match. Their first release, The First. The Last. It can change your outlook of life!
When you are need of finding yourself there is nothing better then listening to The First, The Last, The Tribe. When things went bad in my life and I was not sure of who I was lisening to this CD helped me find myself once again. If you don’t believe me listen to it, the CD will say it all. The lyrics should be what we all need as our own personal mottos.

This album is a funk chunky monkey of a skunky heeled bunky. You may think that the last line does not make much sense and you would be right if I were speaking proper english, but to review a sonically superior mixed compact disc like this one, one must use colorful words or the reader will not recognize the seriousness of the importance of the need for this cd in one’s collection.
You have passed hazing phase 1, now for the technical summary of The First.
Loud, Layered, Integral, Courageous, and ultimately neccessary for this country to hear. An important piece of plastic with digital encoding carrying a lifesaving reminder that we can live on this planet and still enjoy life and not be afraid as long as we make the conscious effort to try to love something or someone starting with ourselves.
If that didn’t sound like something you were planning on doing before the 22nd century, than chances are, you need this cd more than, let’s say….

I have been wrestling for a long time now AND I AM VERY CRITICAL ABOUT THE MUSIC I TRAIN TO- yesterday when I put this CD in to work out to I was blown awaY! tHE THING ROCKS. nOT MANY CDS GET ME PUMPED UP, iVE HEARD IT ALL, I ALSO NEVER GO ON COMPUTERS BUT THIS CD MADE ME SAY DRIVE SO ROCK ON GARGANTUA SOUL.

From the first song to the last I feel this CD captures a specific commentary of the state of affairs of our time. The cover says it all- the need for the spiritual combined with the teqnalogical. More than music this is a long awaited and refreshing vibe for a stagnant music culture.

How can I “”keep it short”” when I’m reviewing a CD that has changed my taste in music altogether?
I’m not sure I can do it, but I’ll try. I LOVE THIS CD. It has something for everybody.
Even if you are usually turned off by heavy music, listen anyway. You might just change your mind– I did!
There is nothing static or superficial about this music. It evolves and grows deeper as you listen.
The First. The Last. The Tribe. is full of juice, so pour yourself a big frosty glass full, because it’s HOT
out there baby! Fire, fire everywhere…. PEACE

The actual cd is fine. Good mix job. Staggering guitars. Boiling bass throbs and running fingers of rubber whack rythym at your ears while the cd is playing. Fast chunk vinyl ratchet patched by Keyboards, percussion and whopping drums of glory. Spirit crying out the sign of the times number 5 he’s alive. Gargantua soul. Hear it. Feel it. Give it a try. It is real.
