Fun Boy Three – Our Lips Are Sealed
“Our Lips are Sealed” is a song written by The Go-Gos guitarist Jane Wiedlin and The Specials and Fun Boy Three singer Terry Hall. It was first recorded by The Go-Gos as the opening track on their 1981 album Beauty and the Beat (see 1981 in music) and served as their debut American single. For me, one of the three best singles of the entire decade. Just love the song, its atmosphere and chord changes. There are those who prefer the Go Gos take, but I find that unbearable to listen to compared to this, again with some nice cello parts. What good pop singles are all about.
