Excellent debut. Strong material. Musicianship is great (well it would be with a list of musicians like that) and for a debut album, Fiona’s vocals are excellent throughout. If you are into a slightly heavier Pat Benetar, then this is the girl for you.

By far Fiona’s best release. Just great catchy power pop.

Good Debut and Good A.O.R album, Fiona is one of my favorites AOR singers, a real goddess of A.O.R.

fine debut by FIONA with some great musicians on board like the great Bobby Messano! All songs have a certain mid 80 s feel and are catchy enough! Guitar work is outstanding and Fiona s vocals enjoyable! my favs are “”hang your heart on me”” ,””talk to me”” and “”you re no angel”” and this one is great if you dig the female fronted bands!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fiona, classic melodic rock
Having recently discovered Fiona, I can’t seem to stop myself from listening to her debut album over and over again. It is a short one, but 7 of the 8 songs are so amazing that I can easily forgive the length of the album.
The last one, “Na Na Song” is the only one that doesn’t do much for me. “Talk to Me” is the best in terms of vocals, as Fiona really shows her range in this song. It was a minor hit that really deserves more recognition.
“Love Makes You Blind” is a great ballad with a nice rock edge.
“James” and “Hang Your Heart on Me” are fun rockers, and “Over Now” stands out for its awesome guitar solo.
“You’re No Angel” is another song that should have been a big radio hit. I love the guitar work, and the chorus is a really catchy tune that’s easy to get stuck in your head.
Fiona’s voice is chilling in “Rescue You”, a great rocking tune, and my personal favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Setting the Stage
This is Fiona’s first album, and it sets the sound that would become her signature. This is full on hard rock with just a bit of a pop edge. Fiona’s voice takes center stage as she takes us on a fun freewheeling cruise through the 80s musical landscape. Yet, at the center of the music is a real sweetness, and sincerity. I think this is Fiona’s own personality coming through the production. Even the power ballad, “Love Makes You Blind”, is a likable bit of fluff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as I remember
Love Fiona! Still have the cassette tape. I haven’t heard it in almost 15-20 years and I still knew the words to at least half the songs. It’s a perfect example of great ’80’s pop. Love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great music like this is impossible to find today.
Fiona is one of the best singers, ahead of her time. Her music is classic and worth checking out. A true diva with all the right moves and talent. If you like real music, check her other CD’s HEART LIKE A GUN, and SQUEEZE. Here’s to you Fiona.

5.0 out of 5 stars We Miss You!!!!
Wow How exciting! I remember hearing Talk To Me on the radio when I was a teen and running out and buying the cassette immediately! I love this whole album! Fiona has such a unique voice! I wish she would come back and give us new music! If you like great songs with a wonderful gravely voice, then you’ll love this! You won’t be disappointed buying this!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another formidable talent who went and disappeared
A female rocker in the Jennifer Rush mold, Fiona doesn’t quite have Jennifer’s voice, but sings with the same impassioned emotion. All the songs are good, and though many Fiona fans like her hard-rocking style best, the slow, dreamy background of the song “Love Makes You Blind” makes it (at least in my opinion) the best song on the album. In any case, no matter whether you like throbbing, pulsating beats or slow, dreamy ones like that found in the above mentioned song, this album hits direct on both counts.
