All Fired Up is the second studio album by the hard rock band Fastway. It was released in 1984. It is the last album recorded with Jerry Shirley on drums and also with Eddie Kramer as producer.
In 1984, Fastway recorded again with Eddie Kramer their next album, with the former Taste bassist Charlie McCracken (his only contribution to the band). A music video for the title-track, was released and it soon received distribution through various TV channels as MTV and VH1. The sound of the LP, is more blues based more than previous album and ended up with more melodic elements. All Fired Up had well critical reviews, but failed to reach more success due to increasing popularity of glam metal in the charts that same year. To support the album, Fastway opened for Rush on their Grace Under Pressure tour.

After the hardships of touring, Shirley and McCracken left the band in 1985.

All song written and composed by Fastway.

When a group debut album does as well as Fastway debut, it is rare for the second album to fulfil the expectations created by the initial success.

However, with the release of “”All Fired Up,”” Fastway has exceeded the standards set by their debut, and the addition of Charlie McCracken on bass has strengthened an already excellent line up.

The title track opens the first side of “”All Fired Up.”” Besides the strong melody, this song features great guitar work by Fast Eddie Clarke. He seems to explore every note on his guitar in his solos, while Jerry Shirley performance can only add to his reputation as one of the top drummers in hard rock.

On the second track, “”Misunderstood,”” McCracken comes into his own. His riffs on bass set a strong background, although Clarke and vocalist Dave King seem too restrained, not meeting McCracken enthusiasm.

But Fastway sound is primarily the voice of King, and on most of the songs here, he picks up as strongly as he left off on the first album.

The second side opens with “”Tell Me,”” a song that rivals “”Say What You Will,”” their huge hit off the first LP, for intensity and energy.

The album ends strongly with “”If You Could See,”” a slow blues ballad atypical of Fastway hard-rock style. King voice handles the shift in style just fine, and the effect is a melancholy sound that shows new breadth from this group.
But Fastway sound is primarily the voice of Dave King, who returns as strong as he left off on his first album.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorites on there. Not much more that I can add! People I know the prices may be a little high for this album, but definitely worth the price! A real rock classic.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best from the 80, period!,
This is even better than the first one! This masterpiece rocks from start to finish. This feels more like a real band record, more so than the first. I believe the debut used session bass players. All Fired up kicks off this molten slab of blued based metal/hard rock and never lets go until the haunting sounds of If you could see. Everything in between is pure delight to the ears and the soul. Misunderstood and Steal the show(my personal fave) rock straight at you, while Telephone and Station gets a bit bluesier. I can still remember the video for Tell me, it was a trip. Non-Stop love and Hung up on love rock hard and Stranger brings the mood down a bit. The playing here is sensational, Fast Eddie has never played better and Jerry Shirley drums are incredible. This was such an underrated band and this was such an incredible record. I remember picking the cassette up in the $3.99 bin(1985) and couldn’t believe it! These guys should have ruled the world, period. Dave King had such a good voice, his work with Katmandu was good also. All Fired Up will always hold a special spot with me, it filled the void for me due the fact I hated Bon Jovi, Warrant, Winger etc. It was a solid, heavy yet bluesy metal rock record. It was the antidote to the hair metal thing. Fastway I thank you for your contribution to my sanity and my life. Buy this and you’ll see what I’m saying. This is one of the best of the 80 scene. The Debut is good, Trick or Treat is good(production quality is so-so) and Waiting for the Roar is good(took a while for me to say it though). But All Fired up is a must buy!! So what are you waiting for dude? The roar or something. Buy it…and love it…

5.0 out of 5 stars Fastway is the way to be
Awesome band from the 80. Dave King on vocals and Fast Eddie Clark on guitar. Fastway is one of the most under rated bands of all time. People that know about this band love them and know that they should of been huge. So now is the time for you to check them out. If you want real rock and roll and you want it fast and heavy. Then you want FASTWAY. Trust me this band will rock your ass off!

5.0 out of 5 stars FASTWAY ON ALL CYLINDERS !!!
All Fired Up , what a album by Fastway. This is a rocker through and through. Fast Eddie Clarke of Motorhead fame is sizzling on guitar , Pete Way has been replaced by Charlie Mckracken and the bass on this baby is awesome, Jerry Shirley on drums keeping the rhythm while Dave King sharpens his vocal skills. I agree with the other reviews here especially on the songs. Fastway albums are collectable rock and roll gems! If you haven’t heard them you need to and when you do you wont be able to get enough.

All Fired Up deserves to be heard !

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!! one of the best!
Very few albums are worth listening to start to finish over and over again, and when you find one, it is called a masterpiece. All Fired up rocks song to song. The thing to do as you listen to this album, is one time concentrate on the guitar work, then next time the drums, they are seamless and perfect. Fantastic rock album that never got the recognition it deserved. I bought three albums at the same time when I turned 15, this one, Whitesnake “”Slide it in””, and Y&T “” Rock and Rolls Gonna Save The World””, I was hooked. WOW, what an introduction to heavy metal/hard rock in the mid 80.
Also, Fastway debut album is almost as good, I mean real close! After the first two albums though Fastway changed their sound and where never the same, so sad.”
