“Frozen” sounds like the last album by Tiamat. At times, the resemblance is even rather striking. Even Jo-Inge Slangsvold’s (also known from Ragnarock) way of singing reminds me of Johan Edlund’s soft and melancholic voice. The production of this album, which is really super, courtesy of the two ex-Apoptygma Berzerks (Rico and Superdead) that took care of it. The expressiveness of the vocals as well as the nice mid-tempo grooves might remind you of the ballads by Filter, especially on the fat, out of this world choruses. The songs aren’t too complicated but they were developed with care. The remix of “”My Angel”” by Sebastian Komor (from Icon Of Coil) is also very nice… No back cover
