Description

quadraphonic disc, CD-4 Channel Discrete LP – 10 track Elektra records 1975 EQ 1033-1975 USA pressing small import cut in sleeve + insert … Rare Quadraphonic pressing

5.0 out of 5 stars Another underrated gem,
Released in the middle of her most productive songwriting phase of her career (1971-1978), this album maintains her consistent ability to write interesting and personal lyrics to high quality music. Much more than Joni Mitchell, her ability to express female emotions and place them into the context of the song was second to none in this period.
Once again there are no songs on this LP that could be considered fillers, each one having its own charm or interest whether upbeat or slow. No song is worthy of individual attention as the overall quality speaks for itself.
If you know Carly Simons 70s career, this LP may have slipped through the radar, as it was not, from memory, well promoted. Consequently, you may have missed a little treat.
