5.0 out of 5 stars More Classic Rock/Metal From Sweden,
I stumbled across this little gem several months ago and it has been a regular in my cd player ever since.
This is the debut album from the Swedish power trio and it is simply awesome.
From the blistering opening of “Thundergroove” the album serves up slab after slab of crunching metal, the quality of which I have not heard in quite some time. Indeed, the huge groove laden riffs on tracks such as “Blend”, “Wish I Knew Which Side I’m On” and “Back Where I’ve Always Been” are guaranteed to produce flying hair and aching neck muscles within minutes! There are also moments of restraint where the band stretch out and demonstrate their musical prowess, notably on the lengthy “Coming To” and the acoustic “When I’m Finally Gone”.
Blind Dog have certainly produced a debut of some standing. Strong songwriting, excellent musicianship, a totally “in your face” production, and informative sleeve notes set this album apart from the rest of the pack.
For fans of Black Sabbath, Monster Magnet, Spiritual Beggars, Trouble, Corrosion Of Conformity, Karma To Burn, Cathedral, Orange Goblin, and good classic heavy rock this album is essential. It rocks !!

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding stoner/psychadelic metal,

this ones been on my radar ever since I heard “back where I’ve always been.” i finally picked this up and it certainly does NOT dissapoint. heavy, groovy, full of awesome riffs, soulfully raspy vocals. and did I mention the riffs!? they alone make this album worth whatever you paid for it. its also been in and out of print, which is why i grabbed it when i saw it.

great production too. sometimes this genre suffers on that front, but this is tight, clean, and groovy heavy. all the stuff i dig during a good buzz ;-).

not as psychadelic as say, Mammoth Volume — another bunch of Swedes who completely rock — but just as awesome…mix equal parts COC, Monster Magnet, and Alabama Thunderpussy and you get Blind Dog. love this disk. LOVE this disk. get it. go on….it’ll be gone again…then, go get Captain Dog Rides Again. thats NEXT for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing!,
Man, these guys kick serious ASS! The musical style is a mixture of heavy southern blues (COC, Sixty Watt Shaman, Stoner Kings), and good old fashioned HARD rock and roll. There is a bit of a “stoner” rock vibe throughout, but to label the music as such would do Blind Dog a great disservice. The rhythm section simply keeps things heavy and full, providing a great foundation for the stellar guitar work and solid, raspy, soulful vocals. The rhythms are up tempo and crisp, and the time signatures change to keep the flow and energy steady and interesting. These guys are a real treat!
