Medieval Death (LP + DVD): 

The Medieval Death LP that comes with a free 2 hour DVD of previously unreleased material. The LP comes with a booklet that details the band’s story, plus a lyric / photos sheet. Here is an updated LIVE  DVD only version of one their signature songs.  (The original studio version is on the LP) . Please PLAY LOUD!

drum parts analysis for the Medieval Death song:
We have guitar riffs spread over a half time drum tempo, then the drums galloping over thrash riffs.
Then a  5/4 tempo divided into eighth notes with groupings of 3-3-2-2, where the song returns to thrashing. Then four meters in 5/4, divided into eighth notes with groupings of 3-3-2-2.
Then four meters of 4/4, back for four meters back to 5/4, then four meters of 4/4, followed by a 2 meter fill and the icing on the cake comes with a 3/4 tempo.
In closing, we have a repeat of all these different rhythmic patterns.

– compilations of a band’s back catalogue,
– compilations consisting of different bands.
We are open to all styles of music.
We don’t offer long term contracts, just one release at a time. Very small amounts will be pressed for each release, so if you are in a band that wants to make money, you need to go elsewhere for sure.

Are there any underground bands / artists that would potentially be interested to participate in a covers album? Covers albums are not as popular as they used to be, underground bands are by definition not very popular, so as with all our future releases, we will press a very limited run of copies on vinyl.

Please email us stating:

1. one song by a band or an artist FROM your home country, that you would love to cover.

2. one song by a band or an artist that is NOT from your home country, that you would love to cover.

— We want you to name the songs that you would like to cover, because maybe another band might have already offered a recording (of the song that you would like to cover) to us. No point going for the same song.
— Bands don’t have to come up with just two suggestions. Each band member reading this, can state their favoured songs. A 4 piece band can send us up to 8 suggestions. We will examine EVERY suggestion very carefully, that, we promise! Obviously, dear band members, before you come up with a suggestion, think if you are / your band is, able to deliver the goods (as Judas Priest would say).
— We are not looking for exclusivity. You can suggest a song that you have previously recorded, or have used on another occasion; it doesn’t have to be a brand new / previously unreleased recording.
— We don’t care how obscure the original band / artist is, how obscure the song is, or about the music style of any original song. It can be absolutely anything you like, and be covered in anyway you like!
… Even better IF you can record a strange or totally unexpected cover. So either the original, or your cover, or both versions can be strange and wonderful. We would welcome that with open arms.
…Better yet, we will be absolutely delighted to have a parody cover version of a song that irritates the hell out of you, or a parody cover of a decent song that even though you perform badly on purpose, you manage to sound funny (not irritating). If you have the immense skill that is required to pull off a parody version, you are a true legend and you cover version will -most probably- make it to the album!
— If after recording a cover song you realise that the end result absolutely sucks and it is rather laughable, we might still be able to use it and have it as the very last song on the record on side B, just for the giggles. There can be only one winner in the “we failed miserably, but we have a sense of humour AND we are brave enough to admit that we messed the song badly” category though, all other songs on the record need to be good.
— We will not ask any band or any musician to record a song of our choice. What goes on the vinyl record has to be your selection.
—  Yperano will not lay claim to your or any other band’s sound recording, at any stage. We will not buy anyone’s recording or the rights to the recording either. In essence you loan your recording to us for the purpose of participating in a cover versions compilation album. It is entirely your business what you will do with it in the future. Your sound recording will remain yours.
